In 2006 my friend "L." asked me to come up with some sketches for her theme
wedding at a date a couple of years in the future. Below are the drawings for the wedding dress, bridesmaid's dresses,
and the first version of the flower girl dress. All are graphite and watercolor on about 9 X 12"
50 lb drawing paper. Since then the flower girl dress was changed to a style more like Claudia's ballgown from Interview
with the Vampire and the bride's dress has changed to a black velvet center, as well as removing white from the designs altogether.
Modifications to the bridesmaids dresses have also occurred. Some of these changes were due in part to the limitations
or designs of the patterns and fabric selected. Production began in summer 2008 for the wedding on Halloween 2009.
